where would you get this
all feed manufacturers have feed advice helpline etc but they are for there own feeds
how can you decide whats best when they are only going to promote there own feeds

I'm sure there are independant nutritionalists around. Can't think of any now but someone might know!

What sort of feed are you looking for? (I have a degree in equine science including nutrition so should be able to help). Most companies do fairly similar feeds, ie. feeds for veterans, low energy feed, medium energy, youngstock etc.

You could ring up a few companies and see if they tell you similar things? Do you have a specific probalem or is it more for general feeding advice?

i have an arab that is good doer looks at food gets fat haha but is also very fit can ride lunge etc for hours and lucky if she gets hot
have read recently that good doers can be better off on a higher energy concentrate in smaller amounts as the low energy feeds are often laid down in fat
she is only on happy hoof and naf stay slim think that is whats its called cant remeber
but she is not typical arab never hot headed etc more like cob in arab clothes
also have friesian mare that appears scurvy alot of the time she too on the happy hoof with condition cubes was thinking about changing her to an oil based chaff to try perk coat up from the inside
