I had a fantastic ride on Indi with my mom on Poppy today and everything was perfect, both were on their toes but very well behaved considering its the first time they have been ridden together.

Anyway by the time Indi had eaten his dinner mom had already put poppy out so i chucked on Indi's rug and then took him out to the field.

Loosed him off at the gate and off he went in a lovely steady canter to the bottom of the field, i watched him go down and then to my horror his front right leg (the one that he was in the hospital with for three weeks) just appeared to give out, Indi went down hard landed on his chest/shoulder his back end flipped over his neck (like a cartwheel) and he just lay there and wasnt moving.

I screamed for my mom and started running down the field calling his name, still he wasnt moving. By the time i got to him mom and some of the liveries were running from the yard. I got to him and he was awake and breathing but not moving.

By this stage im in floods of tears running my hands all over him trying to feel a break or anything but he seemed ok. After about 5 mins he did sit up, we covered him in some blankets and just sat with him talking to him and stroking him while my mom was on the phone to the vets.

It took a further 40 mins to get him to his feet, vet showed up and said that he didnt think Indi has done much apart from bruised and winded himself and it took so long to get him up because he was in shock.

We have monitored him all day and he seems fine but obviously he will be sore and stiff tomorrow.

I swear my horse has put me through hell with his health and accidents but I love him so much, I think i will grey by the time my birthday comes around.

Please send good vibes to my poor battered boy
