We have just built a 40m x 20m indoor arena for our own use and have been researching surfaces.

I think we have more or less decided that we want is a waxed silica sand however we are having a huge issue trying to source. We are outside Stirling and it appears that no-one in Scotland sells. Any recommendations would be welcome and also love to hear of anyone that uses waxed silica sand.

Thanks in advance

Hi, I just renewed our indoor surface and trawled through many websites and got a lot of quotes. In the end we went with Equi-Est who are based in Gloucester but still ended up much cheaper than the big well known companies and the one Scottish company who quoted too. They mixed the surface on site so the sand was from up here and brought up the fibre and wax. I'm delighted with the surface, its riding well and is just as good as the Andrews Bowen surface in our outdoor arena. I found the company good to deal with although you can't always speak directly to Simon as he's often on site working the machinery however he always called back. I'm not a million miles from Stirling so you could view mine if you wish.
