This place is for sale right down the road from me. It is quite cheap too! I HATE the wallpaper and her decor but just look at that woodwork around the doors ( etc.)
I see so much potential here!

about 85,000 pounds to most of you! Who wants to be my nieghbor?! lol

What's a 'season' room?

What a lovely house though.

Sod the land Wink, we can just keep our horses with Jades!!!!

a three season room basically means that it is not iunsulated well enough to be used in the winter! lol

much like my bedroom now

It would be best used as a spring , summer and fall sitting room I imagine.

btw...that property has more land than I do so youd be better off keeping your horses there!

I have two acres on my side and the free use of the 3.5 acre pasture across the road that my neighbor owns

Amazing springs , lush hot summers with TONS of sunshine, beautiful falls with amazing color and LONG FREEZING COLD WINTERS WITH TOO MUCH SNOW

In the rural areas there are deer everywhere and some pretty scenery the more North you go.
In the country you will mainly see big dairy farms and corn fields as far as the eye can see.
We have two decent cities , Madsion and Millwaukee and we are very close to Chicago on the south end and Canada up North. Both are easy drives.
There are a lot of nice lakes here so in the summer you can have a lot of fun on the water. There are a few Ski spots but they pretty much stink compared to any ski hills you would find in say Colorado.

As far as my area of Wisconsin, I live by the WIsconsin Dells which is a huge tourist town with tons of resorts and indoor waterparks. You can go from being at my house in the middle of nowhere isolated to a busy little city full of diversity and great shopping in about a 15 minutes drive!

They are also the indoor water park capitol of the world!

People actually do come from all over the world to visit there. The locals are mostly Russians who come over to work there and are all very fun , kind , polite young people.

Madison is an hours drive South of me.

If you can stand the cold half the year it is an alright place to live .

come on Jo! We can share it! Bring the dogs!

It is also up for rent until sold at $850 per month ( $425 pounds per month) some people pay more than that in livery! lol

The way the market is going here it may take a while to sell too! lol

LOL The economy is slow in the whole country . What makes you single out Wisconsin? We actually have a good economy here compared to most of the country. It's not like we are Alabama
smirk.gif

This place is only cheap becasue it is so rural . It is still only and hours commute to Madison which is one of the highest ranked cities in the US for everything from schools to cleanliness year after year. Low crime too .That is where M works and goes to school. Of course properties there cost a whole lot more than here. My house is valued at $165,000 atm and would be about $225,000 if it were just an hour away
tongue.gif

btw...weather is only crap here in winter and some may actually like it!

lol

It would be bliss, but to be honest, we have lots of friends in the US and would love to move there, but, not being brain surgeons or rich enough to bribe someone, there is NO WAY we will ever get work permits, let alone permanant residence.
They even stopped Brits taking part in the Green Card Lottery for goodness sake, that's what kind of a special relationship we really have!

Love the old farm house and the Dells are beautiful but I can't take Wisconsin in the winter. I lived in Iowa for about 5 years and hated the winter. If I won the lottery, I'd buy if for a summer home. Go to Wisconsin around June, move back to Arkansas in October.

I want it!!! It's my dream house!!
The rubbish houses on our street (two bedroom, all the rooms being tiny), on street parking, high anti-social behaviour (our car is always getting vandalized due to my horse stickers in the windows) all sell for £100 000+ (I suppose even our crappy mouldy house which is falling to bits would be about too) so I'm selling up and moving to Wisconsin! I survived 24 years of Canadian winters, I reckon Wisconsin winters are the same
