I am competeing in the chiltern and thames show on 14th september and dont know wether i can show my 4year coloured non native cob x in a inhand bridle with no bit? Or do i have to show in a bitted bidle.
Am very confused about all the different rules and cant seem to get the same answer form more than 1 person.

Hope some1 can help

I should imagine that like most in-hand classes horses of 4 yrs and over wear a normal riding bridle with the reins over the head, traditionally you would show them in a double but I have shown my PBA in a pelham with 2 reins which is also acceptable.

hope that helps!

With any horse 4 years old and over they should be shown in a riding bridle with a bit and reins over the head.

the only horses shown without a bit after the age of about 3 are Pure bred welshes, pure bred arabs and shetlands
