my neighbour lost her 30 year old horse this summer and has offered me and daughter all her rugs and paraphanalia acquired over many years.i am very touched as she feels sad about it.what would be a nice thank you.i do have a photo taken of us both riding out years ago that i could frame but dont want to upset her any more.
 
I think the framed photo is a lovely idea. You could wrap it and tell her to open it after you've gone in case she gets embarrassed about crying in front of you!
 
I think the photo is a lovely idea. But i don't know the person. I blow up a photo of a friend galloping across a field on her horse and put it in a nice frame for her when her horse was pts. She was thrilled with it and it had pride of place in her dining room.
 
oh what a lovely idea I'm sure she would really like that I know I would...perhaps do the photo frame it and put a plaque underneath with horses name and dates from and to maybe?

My friend had a 20 x 16 oil painting of my mare done for me after she died, it was taken from my fav pic of her - its absolutely gorgeous and has pride of place on my dining room wall and has done for the past 15 years, I still stare into her eyes and cry occasionally when i'm in one of those soppy moods, i think she will love it.
