Injections - feel very mean!!

I'm a small animal vet nurse so well used to doing injections but on animals smaller than I horse!!

My friends cob has got feather mites ATM and had to have her second dectomax injection last night. Guess who was volunteered ;-) vet left jab and poor D got jabbed in the bottom by me! I've injected horses a couple of times but I think D thought she'd been stung by a humungous bee cause god did she buck!! Luckily she didn't buck the needle out cause it took a while for her to calm down enough to actually attach the syringe and inject her!!

Funnily enough she wouldn't come anywhere near me this morning :-(

dectomax is usually injested sub cutaneously not i/m. hope you dont get a large hard lump in the muscle..

Vet said to do it i/m!! Well at least that's what my friend said, mare was fine today xx
