Hope that this is not counted as advertsing as I am in no way linked to the IJF but thought I would say something on here - have also posted this in CR as well.
Having known a few people who have had bad accidents on horses and have been given support by the IJS, I have been meaning to set up a standing order donation to them for ages. They offer invaluable support to all injured riders, not just jockeys, and I know that with horses accidents happen all to easily. If I had an accident they would be my first port of call (lets hope I never have to!).
I just rang them and they were very helpfull and veruy greatfull. The process is very simple and they are sending the forms out to me today.
Basically, all I am saying is that we all ride and know the dangers and all know of someone who has been injured. If you could also give a contribution to their cause, I know they would be greatfull. I have put the link below.
