I'm planning a lecture at the mo ad part of it covers injuries to joints as an emergency and what your vet may need to know.
So far I have got don't poultice what about how to clean it etc? Anyone??!!

Stop flow of blood

Clean it with warm water, but do not apply any lotions or potions etc.

Do protect it up if needed.

Clean with water only, don't put anything on it, only bandage if you need to put pressure on to stop blood flow.

The vet will need to know
- how long ago the injury was found
- when was the horse last seen been the injury saw discovered
- If you know how the injury was caused
- Is it's jabs upto date
