Can vet tell from call out if the horse has muscle injury or would he need to go in for nerve blocks scans etc to pin point injury.I have young horse that has broken down during backing he is short on right hind .mc timoni been out and found tenderness in hamstring .Ive been massaging every day and walking in hand and hes now comfortable with massage. I have someone booked for 5th to give him check up she works with olympic team so very experienced.Im debating wether to call vet out before she comes or go in to new surgery to have full check up.

a vet should be able to help rule out any other issues that could be causing the discomfort, so I would get a vet if you were concerned, without nessersarily having to nerve block.
