Injustice in the Equine work place. Considering myself to be an honest person who does not like people being treated badly, i have an important message to share with all those entering into the horse world. In brief my wife working in the area at a stud near Newmarket, for a so called reputable employer, was treated terribly to the point of clapsing and ending in hospital. As an employer they pushed her to breaking point. Carrying out a seven day week with silly hours, bullying and undermining at every turn. As the employer they never visited her in hospital and indeed there was no contact until they called a meeting and promptly terminated her employment whilst on SSP. The position was totaly mis-advertised as a Stud Groom, and indeed turned out to be maternity cover for six months. Having relocated for the so called position, the whole sworded situation has caused unecessary stress and upset. Having looked into previous employees there appears to be a definate pattern of awful behaviour by this particular employer. I believe these people live in a time where they still think of staff as servants. Be warned it is very shocking that in this day and age that dispicable people with more money than sense, believe that they are above the law, and can indeed treat people in such an awful manner.
