Glancing out towards the stables as it got light this morning I spotted white electric fence posts all awry.

Dashed out anxiously to see what had happened to find the two senior horses peacefully grazing where they shouldn’t be, and the fence posts and string/tape where they should be spread flat over a wide area.

Two whistling innocent oldies @ 19yo and 24yo. Apparently not a bother on either of them.

Someone had taken off through this open gate dragging electric string behind them 😳. But not so scared that they didn’t later come back through the gate to get onto the grass they were fenced off from, and where I found them.

Not us, apparently, we are sweet old well behaved ladies.

Don’t believe the innocent eyes!

It was some extra grazing that I usually mow, but I had let them on it to eat it down. Shan’t make that mistake again!
