Inspired by the eventing rule question about jumping wrong fence...

In SJing, if you jump your round and go through the disks, then, for whatever reason, jump another fence that is part of another course, would you be eliminated BSJA?
I was reminded by the eventing question because I was at a show where a young girl was eliminated for jumping a fence that was part of a class later on, but the grade A jumpers who later did exactly the same thing got away with it.
The Bossy Old Fart suggested that it was because several of said riders were related to the judges.
Surely whatever the decision is, it should apply to ALL riders equally?

Its one rule for one and another for all the special people! like if you are related to someone important or know someone!

It should be fair, rules are rules and should apply to everyone.

A girl at my old yard did that. She was trying to pull her horse up when he locked onto a fence in front of him - it was quite a big spread, he was on the landing side and almost in walk. She got the biggest cheer of the day for making it over and staying with him - but she did get eliminated!

It depends I think. In the case of a 2 phase, sometimes they're dumb and put the finish of the first section on the way to the start of the second section (if you know what I mean) so if you dont know if you've gone clear then you just keep going until you hear the bell which says you haven't and that you should stop. But sometimes you can literally be 2 strides away from the first second-phase fence so you have to jump it. But I think this is a different rule in this situation.

Rules NEVER apply to everyone in BSJA. The amount of times Ive seen classes held up for one of the "favourites" to jump is insane. With us "normal folk" we get told we have a minute to get into the arena, however Ive seen a class held up for HALF AN HOUR for one guy to jump because he was late! AGHH

sometimes it's just luck of the draw I think! I've been eliminated for jumping an extra fence at the end of a jump off course, when the last fence was the first jump of a double and because they were doing jump offs straight after a clear round they didn't take any fences down! Last week I saw someone fall off going over the last jump but because they fell on the landing stride they ignored it as they'd jumped the last jump, the person was placed too!

Ah well, I've had to jump the first part of the second phase because it was too close to the end of the first phase and not been eliminated (nearly everyone else had to jump it too, though) but in the case of the girl the fence was part of a different class. She was the only person eliminated all day!
It doesn't just happen in Argentina then?
