This is for a friend of mine.

Her competition horse has always napped out hacking, spinning round and attempting to head for home. It hasn't been a problem as horse has been kept well occupied jumping, schooling, going round tracks (never naps if close to home, if he's been there before) competing, and fornightly hack...until now.

He is coming up 22 and is starting to slow down, friend would love it if she could hack him without having to think about it.
She is moving from a large competition yard to a smaller yard with better grazing and hacking straight into woodland.

What would be ideal is that she would pay instructor to ride the horse out for the first few weeks, until he gets used to the routes and area and then have the instructor go with her on another horse (mine) to tell her what to do but more be there as moral support.

Horse is not dangerous and is much better with a competant rider, I've ridden the horse in the past out hacking and have felt his behaviour manageable. Friend is by no means a novice but hacking gives her the nerves (thanks to a different horse) and she knows that they wll only be made worse by being in a new place.
She wants to give horse best chance to succeed in new place and for her confidence to develop.

Sorry I have babbled on but wanted to give some background! ooo I should add that horse is fabby mc fab in the school and doesn't nap in any other circumstance (even going away from others in XC)....o dear, more babbling.

So question is

Can anyone recomend an instructor/rider in West Sussex

They move over Easter to the yard I'm at in Arundel, I said it first post she wants someone to start from when she moves, so they can solely hack the horse out, show him new routes etc for the first few weeks :) don't worry we're on the same lines :)
