Hi guys

Just interested in where everyone finds their riding instructors / coaches? I've gained my UKCC Level 2 and have advertised on riding club / livery yards Facebook sites, local livery yards and tack shops.

Anywhere else I should be advertising?

Thanks for help in advance :)

I'd offer to run a course or clinic for a local riding club/pony club - get yourself known. I did a XC course for nervous riders for charity last year and they all wanted lessons afterwards..

My instructor works part time at the riding school I used to ride at, and she does freelance work the rest of the week so she comes to my yard to teach me and my lovely new horse who I share 4 days a week. When I knew I was taking on my share horse I simply asked her if she did private lessons at other yards and she said yes, so the rest is history!

Maybe look to work part time at a good riding school for now, and then you will build up a repuatation from there and often the people who leave riding schools move on to buy their own or loan/share, so they will want some help with their new horse.

Hope this helps!

I found both of mine by word of mouth :) I have seen lots of ads on local message boards and in tack shops though for instructors and they seem to work. Good luck with getting some clients :)
