Do you stick to the same instructor for everything or do you have a few?
I have always gone to the same instructor, she has been really good for me, we do both flat work and jumping in each lesson unless i have a dressage test soming up then its just flat.
But i was wondering is it sometimes good to go to someone else to see if they notice something different?

I have one who i use regularly and two or three who I have the odd lesson with.

my main instructor always says that one instructor isn't enough however good they are. Sometimes they pick up on different things, sometimes they just explain things differently, someitmes they get you to try different things, but its all worth hearing, knowing, trying.

It's always worth having a couple of different ones on hand as I think it is good to get a different perspective. I have two for dressage, one for basics and jumping, and in a few months, will hopefully be using a fourth to get me riding like a show rider! I can almost feel them cranking my stirrups up already!!

I prefer to have one regular instructor but also try out clinics and training days etc with others. These are usually one off sessions, and can be really good if you have a particular issue or block about something, as a fresh pair of eyes or new method is sometimes the answer. On the other hand I think consistent training is important for the horse so I like to stick to one main person. rather than chopping and changing completely.

If I was wanting to do both jumping and dressage competitively then I'd maybe have two regulars, one for each discipline.
