i have brought my 11year old grandaughter a mini shetland.he is 4 years old.im hopeing 2 use him for driveing,he is very good on the roads on a lead and also has had small children on him,what should i insure him for and who with i payed £200,i dont mean how much 2 insure but what 2 insure for vet ect

Insure with NFU, for vets bills, if on roads make sure you have a decent amount of 3rd party liability and consider loss of use insurance if you feel it's necessary
 
Don't think I'd bother with the loss of use if it was my pony. It's v expensive when you add that on. Agree about the vets cover and public liability (not just if he goes on the road but in case he strays from the field). You could also insure for death/theft of the pony but the higher the value you put on him the higher the premiums. Just make sure you pick one of the reputable companies.
