Insurance and renewals

Hi all,

So I am currently with Animal friends and my renewal is due. It's gone up £261 a year from last year ( 670-931). Has anyone managed to negotiate their renewal?

I've had a better deal from Napo but I know they are a new company and don't have as many reviews.

Would rather go with a company that is reliable and will pay out ( unfortunately pet plan want too much money from me). I also have a Staffy crossed with an American bulldog and some companies will not accept her due to her crossbreed.

Any advice?

You can try negotiating a higher fixed excess or higher co-payment, or drop to a lower level of cover, to reduce the premium - do remember though by switching you lose any cover for pre existing conditions.

Napo were very communicative when I had an issue processing a claim earlier this year (vet end not client end) but had limited dealings with them so far.

Thank you, How have you found Animal Friends to be? As my vets haven't given me any indication of who they would accept direct claims from. I'd just get an admin fee for them to sort it out
