Insurance, anyone use homebase/argos?

Just taken out a new policy for Flora with homebase for 6.96 pm! I have read and re read and it is an almost identical policy to petplans basic just half the price! Anybody got any experience of them or argos (same company). They are unwritten by lloyds tsb I believe.

I am with Argos but won't re-insure with them. Insured two small dogs one for £13 and the JRT for £17.

Cancelled policy for JRT as I no longer have her but continued with the JRTx. I 'phoned them to make a claim and discovered that he is insured as a cat and not a dog!! The premium went from 13 to 34 (more than my horse) when I questioned it I was told that dogs are more expensive to insure than bitches as they need more medical treatment??!

So no i won't be using them again!!

eta - I have never made a claim on any of my animals before.

eeek thats not good! I have had several good recommendations for argos as well though. I went on one of those review sites and all companies seem to get equal reception ie. lots of horror stories and some good reviews so I figure I may as well pay less for the pleasure of having to potentially bash the hell out of them to get a payout as even the high price companies that I have heard really good things about have awful reviews on there!

I was going to have gizmo with argos for the 1st year only changed to M&S as policy was cheaper until they put it up after a year ( all insurance does that) so i shopped around online again and went with more than. Famliy have had argos but never had to make a claim.

Just make sure you read all your info then no mistakes can be made.

No idea but we work with them and they are a nightmare. Also just to mention that Argos and Homebase are owned by the same company, so what you will get from one will be the same from the other.
