I've just been trying to fill out my insurance claim (with NFU) for Flash's vet bills and it tells me to 'provide a full clinical report/history since ownership'... what do I have to include in this? I nearly missed it because it's in the bit asking about farrier which didn't really seem to apply. I don't want to fill the form out wrong and end up paying the thousands myself!!

Thanks
H

Yup, just contact any vets that you have used in the time you have owned him and ask them to print out his history.

Uggh! I have some of that paperwork to do and it's a nightmare. You have my sympathy!

ah OK... it was in the section i have to fill in rather than the vet bit and it confused me.

Am a little concerned because I'm claiming for a fetlock injury and whilst this injury has never been picked up before and I have no idea how he did it, he has had unexplained lameness before (which we haven't claimed for), which have been investigated and been inconclusive. He's so accident prone, we think this injury occurred at some point when he had had 2 months off work for lameness due to a series of consecutive cuts and bumps he'd managed to do to other legs... insurance companies will use anything they can to get out of paying won't they?!

I've just claimed off the NFU and they were excellent and very fair. Was the previous lameness in that leg? Your vet has to fill in on the form whether it's related, if it's not then I'm sure they'll take your word for it.

They are taking a long time to process clims by the way! They were short staffed, and although now they've taken people on there is a back log!

Good luck.
