Insurance claims running out - billing?

Just a quick one - i have an insurance claim for Kenny's eye which runs out the 1st september. If he gets treated again before then, but we don't get billed until after the 1st september (you know what its like with vets bills) will we still be able to claim as the treatment was done before?

ETA: we are with NFU if that makes a difference?

I should imagine it will state on your bill the date of the visit so it should be (in theory) no problem but you could always give NFU a quick ring to find out.

i thought that might be the case, was just wondering if anyone knows personally. Will give them a ring tomorrow if i still don't find out

It's to do with the treatment date, nothing to do with when you get billed/date of the billing. The date of the treatment is what the claim is based on so, if this is prior to 1st Sept then you are fine. Just to say though, if there are any on going meds he's going to need for a while, you may want to ask the vets if they can give you several months supply in the last treatment and hence you can get that covered on the claim.
