Has anyone used AmTrust Europe Equine insurance? Their quote is coming in fairly reasonable compared to some but don't know anything about them. I have been with Animal Friends for the past year and they paid up quickly on a claim I had to make for my mare but now want to more than double my premium this year!

Nope, cant comment on them. But have you tried SEIB? Found they were the best on quote a few years ago when I moved to them from NFU. I've had to make a claim for vets fees and now loss of use which they dealt with perfectly. Really easy to deal with.

I`m with KBIS for mine and i can`t fault them at all.

Paid out with no fuss after my geldings really bad accident last year (in excess of 3k in vets bills) and i have just got my renewal through and it has only gone up by £1.43 a month.

Obviously there are now exclusions to the policy, but only regarding any losses/ataxia/emphysema that arise from the original wound after the 12 month period from when the claim first started (oct last year) ... which is fair enough. It`s only the wound itself and/or any condition arising directly from the wound itself, which i expected anyway.

KBIS were compassionate, professional and i wouldn`t use anyone else now

Never used them personally but they are a perfectly decent company as far as I'm aware.-

Amtrust have a very good reputation - a search on here will show numerous posts from happy customers.

Thanks all. Have had a good quote from KBIS & a broker has got me a good price for Rural Insurance too & have found the threads about AmTrust on here now.
