How many of you have insurance for your dogs? And if you don't have insurance for your dog, why?
I'm thinking of insuring my dog, with her being so little and getting more confident/stupid around horses and walking up too close sometimes. She's a miniature poodle, 8years old. Last year she got stood on by my 16hh ISH, because she thought its a good idea to go between its front legs and under its hoof just as horse was lifting it. Horse had shoes on, stood on her front leg. In credit to the horse, she didn't panic when dog started squealing and biting the hoof, she calmly backed off like asked and stood there so it wasn't on purpose. Dog was lucky enough to get away with some bruising and a small cut no damage to muscles, tendons of bones, which both me and vet were suprised by. But that event did cost me nearly £300, sunday evening unfortunately and a dose of pain killers and anitbiotics.
Anyway, i was thinking of insuring her, just in case, so looking for best insurance companies, any recommendations?
Thank you
