Insurance for field, stables, public liability, help please!

We've always insured our place through the NFU but I'd like to check that I'm getting a decent price. We have five acres, an old barn and stables, no rights of way over the land. Can you recommend anyone else to try for a quote please?

Farmers & Merchantile - small holders insurance, spot on for own properties (even yards where you don't live).
Ok if you have just the 1 livery too (if DIY)

Thank you very much, they look good, I'll get in touch with them on Monday. We don't live on site (I wish!) and don't have any liveries!

As Fuzzy Furry said, F&M are good as have access to a few insurance providers and they have a smallholders policy. You could also try Lycetts as they have the same policies (so it'd just be a case of comparing premiums really). You could also try Rural Insurance and BIB Insurance Brokers.

You may be able to include your home and contents on the same policy as well as this can make it cheaper overall.

NFU though are pretty competitive!

I've got the f and m small holders policy . I think it's £250 and it covers all sorts including my mobile field shelters.

Thanks everyone - my renewal has come in at £430 which I feel may be a bit steep - we've never claimed and the place is nothing fancy!

OP, mine is half that! Sounds a similar set up tho to me.
I have just under 5 acres, 5 stables, hard parking, 3 shelters and hay/barn store and am in home counties close to m25!!
