Yes, I am aware that I am mad to be planning on taking on a bazillion new animals when we move house.
My next question, regardless
, is about insurance for indoor cats. Do you think it is necessary? OH thinks I am being ridiculous for even thinking about it as cat will be 100% kept indoors (we're planning on a pedigree cat and most breeders insist upon this, plus we are lacking a secure garden) and as such it won't be exposed to traffic accidents and things.
Cat will of course be vaccinated, neutered and microchipped regardless. It just seems alien to me not to insure an animal, I of course have my horse insured and I even have my fish tanks declared on our house insurance (although in my defense they're probably the most expensive thing in the house after the telly!
).
I'm getting quotes of around £12 a month with a £65 excess for treatment, up to £4000 vets fees a year. Does that sound about right?
