Managed to get some insurance for Peg my 2hh 3 legged arthritic pony, but NFL (Not *********n Likely) said he isn't covered for lameness in his missing front right leg, unless it's caused by external injury, plus as he suffers with Crashings (running through solid fencing to get to mares) he won't be covered for that either, robbing barstools........

I've found the way to deal with Crashings is to put up a line of electric fencing, instead of solid fencing, that he can duck under, then he won't injure himself getting to the mares. As for the missing leg, I've found that when they're missing one they're less likely to go lame on it (some sort of weird coincidence), so fingers crossed you'll be ok without the cover.
