Insurance for new horse

I am picking up a new horse on Saturday and want to arrange insurance. The name of the horse in a Weatherbys passport is Tinka. However, since her current owners have had her she has been called Faith which we much prefer.

My question is: when arranging insurance does it have to be in her passported name or can I put it in the name she is known as now?

You can use whatever name you want for the horse on the insurance however there must be a positive method of ID. Normally this would be the micro chip number.

I would put the insurance in her stable name but mention her passport name so they can make a record of it.
