My lurcher, just turned 8yrs, has been insured with Animal Friends for a few years - they've been great, only time I needed it was when she had a toe injury and needed x-rays. But now the renewal has changed to co-payment now, whereby I will need to pay 20% of any claim plus the excess. I would rather not do this, and would rather pay more for the premium but know that she is fully covered. I would hate for money to get in the way of anything!!

So just wondered, who any of you insure senior/veteran dogs with? Particularly if you go the whole hog and insure them comprehensively!

Try Tescos-although be warned that the premiums will rise a fair bit after a year or so. They took on both my last adult/older dogs without a co-payment if I remember correctly and excluded any pre-existing (skin issues and epilepsy).
