what is the best insurers you've all used? include bad experiences, most affordable yet reliable company ect, as i have had a bad experience with mine recently over something my dad didn't express very clearly to me so hes set me the task of finding a new insurers.
i don't know if this helps but i have a 16hh ex-racehorse 5yrs old and currently competing low levels so be90s atm, he is kept on a livery yard if that does have an effect and he has no known vices, though one picky lady says shes seen him windsuck but hes never kept in nor has he got anything to hold onto so we are investigating that (sorry if thats useless info but just incase its not?)

NFU probably expensive still use for tractor and dog. But they paid up on old boy immediately settled vets bills etc with no effort at all. Very straight forward etc. Would use again but I think pricey. This was a while ago and E&L were the ones I was told to avoid at the time.

I have been with Aims (part of SEIB) for 5 years. Have always seemed efficient and helpful, have only made one claim which was paid promptly. Previously with E&L which took months to pay up on a claim and then refused to provide further cover on the particular leg that had been effected even though it was only a bruised sole! They all seem so expensive but Aims seems reasonably competitive compared with others.
