Horse was treated for a ulcers in July this year and finally scoped clear in September. I received an exclusion notice that ulcers would not be covered with effect from the renewal date of 01/10 but another letter stated that the insurers would pay for the condition for 365 days from onset or when the maximum limit of indemnity was reached. Does anyone have any advice on whether I am covered if the ulcers flare up again between now and July. I have attempted to email the insurers but not getting a response and the horse is becoming girthy again so could do with another scope. I did not max out the insurance the first time around total cost claimed was £2k. Many thanks Saf

I would call them and then get it in writing. The way you have written it you should be covered until the 365 days is up. KBIS cover for 15 months from onset and that's how they work but others could be different.
