Hi all,
well its that time again insurance up for renewal-gulp- just wondered who you're all with, how much younpay and for what cover to get an idea of who's come out the cheapest, am with E&L at the moment, its £500 for £4500 cover with all the usual cover except advanced eventing and racing.

My horse in insured with NFU for vet fees, public liability for £33/ month. Personally I would not touch E&L

Id say stay away from E&L aswell.

Im with Stonways also, and they are brill. My premium has gone up a fair bit this yeard though, but thats only coz I had to claim last year.
Stonways are the best and are brilliant and very helpful.

Will have a look at Stonways myself. Have just had our renewal premium through from our present insurer for two neddies and a trailer. Need a second mortgage...

BTW I wouldn't touch E & L barge a pole with either (rearrange accordingly)!

Good ones

Pet Plan and Equestrian Direct. Also the one that were Equestrian Directs underwitres which I think is Am Trust are also good.

OK ones , NFU good but refused to insure my last horse and Shearwater who paid out but sent an accessor round first which delayed the process.

You do get what you pay for with horse insurance. Also watch out for the ones that make the exess the VAT so 17.5% as that can add up to a lot if operations etc are needed.

For new neddy I shall be looking for someone who do a minimum or fixed excess.

I had a very bad experience with E& L many years ago, that caused me lots of stress. Would never insure with them again. NFU are the best!!! and the cheapest.
