Insurance query

Hi Due to family illness I'm struggling with time and have successfully advertised for a part loaner to help keep by boy fit for competing. The lady who will be part loaning him already has BHS gold membership so is covered for public liability and personal accident but is there any other insurance issues I need to consider. A friend read an article in H&H a couple of months ago which made her concerned about loaning horses due to liability issues should there ever be a court case following an accident.

Does anyone loan/share a horse and what sort of insurance have you asked for?

You need the 3rd party liability - nice if the loaner has it but legally anything the horse does is the owner's responsibility - even if they are not there!
