Many thanks
South Essex Insurance Brokers
NFU
Petplan
E&L(some mixed views)?
I paid to get my horse insured ie value loss use etc/veterinary bills/tack was x'tra and most of all public liability
You can insure yourself too and get a payment if you are ie off work? if you dont ie get full sick pay at work etc that is extra
Ring them it depends what you are doing but that is the basic stuff?
My horse is now retired and too expensive to insure so I just do BHS which covers me for public liability etc if we caused anyone else a problem leading him along the road (but it doesnt cover me for vet bills etc and due to his age I would just pay out of pocket)
I have both mine insured with Petplan Equine who have been great throughout all my recent claims!!
Mine are insured for vets fees and third party only. I reckon that vet's fees are the most expensive part of owning a horse (well they are mine, anyway!) and anything else I think I can cope without.
Been insured with pet plan for about 10 years no complaints. Paid out straight away the only time I've had to claim throughout the policy. They have excluded both forelimbs(tendon and ligaments!) after my claim even thought the lameness was RF. I think that's normal for insurance companies though unfortunately .
Thanks guys really helpful now I have the task of getting my quotes. any ideas on rough prices 12yr Irish draught no injuries touch wood passport number ect I no they will vary x
Mine are both insured with NFU and they are excellent. Paid out £5000 for one claim and paying out for another now. No questions asked, they are brilliant!!
