So we're finally getting round to getting maddie insured as she's cearly got some more treatmen coming round the corner (Gastroguard)
I have a couple of questions though about insurance, we'll be getting her insured with NFU (Everything else is insured with them)
When is the earliest that you can make a claim for something, is it 2 weeks?

We were told that she wouldn't be covered for colic due to her colic surgery, but I would have expected that she wouldn't have been covered for any gastro-intestinal issues as opposed to just colic? Is this right?

Thanks, Emma x x x

when i first insured mine it was 30 days but I had no history with them as such so it might have affected the claiming period - they have always been quite precise with exclusions for me as my horse is excluded for a previous tie back but I can claim for any throat issues as long as it is not related to the op and he is also excluded for tendonitis in a front leg on the ddft( i think) but if he properly bowed the tendon for rg he will be covered for this
