Just recieved today (Petplan) its gone up slighty with no changes £437.92 shes a 5yr, sum insured £2000 - is it worth hunting round or stick wih them - anyone recomend????
that's terrible!! and Petplan are normally quite low on vets fees. Mine is 5 years old insured for £5000 covers £5000 worth of vets fees and it is £430 with NFU. I would shop around
Check out an online quote from www.AMTrust.co.uk they are really competitive on price and pay up when you need them. I have used them for years, my Husband (Vet) says they are superb to deal with and never queries the claim forms when they fill them out for his clients.
I didnt renew with KBis because although their renewal was competitive, they excluded 2 of my mare's legs and her entire wind even though she is a healthy 8 year old and I have never claimed. One of her legs had been injured years ago, she makes a slight oise occasionally in hard work and most stupidly of all, the vet's report when I got her said her off fore was slightly stiff on turning, possibly due to a tight fitting shoe and being out of work. She has never once been lame in the 2 years I've had her, despite being in extremely hard work, hunting and jumping extensively! Whats the point in insuring her if half her legs arn't covered!
