Insurance Shocker

Sounds like Livery yards should all have Care Custody and Control Insurance
The problem comes--and it is done all the time in DIY, is one friend does morning stables the other night--so friends will not be insured to care for another horse.
Nightmare or BHS gold membership everyone.

I share your concerns. We have new yard owners starting at the beginning of next month and we've already asked them about the insurance cover that they will have to cover their 'duty of care' for our horses.

I guess that the owner is liable if there is an accident and the accident won't be insured. Any experts got a view on this?? How do we ensure adequate cover?

I am very confused by this

. My horse has third party insurance, however he is kept at a riding school/livery yard where he is on working livery. I am aware if he is injured while working in the RS he is covered by there insurance but this article has confused me. I do also have BHS gold membership. Anyone have a clue where I stand?! :
