I need a little HHO expertise please!

Tiko is my mums stallion. He was bought at 6 month old and she would like to know a rough idea of his value for insurance purposes, as obviously she can't really go on what she paid for him at 6 months old.

He's a 16.3hh/17hh warmblood stallion, rising 5 (in June). He's backed and bitted and longreining nicely.

He's been exposed to most scenarios and is pretty bombproof. He's 100% to catch, box, farrier, to handle and in traffic. He's had a lot of groundwork done and is a very genuine chap....

How much is he worth?

Whilst I'm on the subject, how much would you say he would be worth once fully broken and schooled?

Hmm, in today's market and due to ludicrous prices people will pay for coloureds of that sort of size/stamp then i would say the sky's your limit! However, will mean your insurance premium will be rather high. He looks a lovely build and type and has a great head (in my opinion) and, presumably you're using him for breeding/showing etc? If he's already proven he is fertile and has offspring then that would put his value up and also if he has a good temperament, manners etc etc (I could go on). If you were to sell him and he had some 'proof' of winnings, progeny then you're definitely in double figures value wise but really it's going to be what you can afford for your insurance premium!
