Looking into renewing my horse insurance as my last quote could buy me a pretty good saddle. What do you guys include in yours personal liablity, personal accident tack how much do you insure the horse for I paid £6000 for mine several years ago and realistically not worth that now although I would pay double as she is fab. Its a real mine field. I have Gold BHS so have public liability.

The only think I don't have covered is LOU, she is insured for the amount I paid for her, and I can't change that until I have had her a year and can prove that she is worth more, with a pricing done by farrier or vet with additional notes on why her price would have increased.

I personally have no interest in the death payment so both my horses are insured for £1000 which makes a HUGE difference on the premium! I'm really only interested in vets fees cover and hospitalisation fees cover so that is all that is on mine. Like you, I am a BHS gold member so don't include third party liability or personal accident. I have the standard £1000 insurance for saddlery on one of my two horses policy. I have inexpensive tack that wouldn't be covered for theft due to the lack of the insurance company's required lock type so only consider it as damage cover. If one saddle was damaged, how would they know which horse I used it on?! :-)
