who would you recommended for a 15 YO mare.
Shes used for schooling, dressage, showjumping, hacking (occasionally) etc, nothing major!

Would prefer not to do a vetting either.

Thanks,
H x

You may have to ring round as at 15, insurers may class her as veteran and may not offer cover. Some cover for injury only at this age but not for illness.

Bugger, I thought I'd slip under the net with her being under 16

Best get ringing.

try AIMS they are very helpful and cover up to 17 on "normal" insurance, my boy is insured for £3000 with no vet cert needed. and their prices are very reasonable ( paid out £800 vet bill on other horse with no probs)

Have had good service from Petplan .
Did ring a company called E&L and they required a 5 stage certificate !!

Best I've encountered in the last 30 years is NFU; Petplan was fairly good at one stage too.
- agree with Donkeymad on knowing about (other) lol !

The vets I worked for used to ask "are you insured....?" - then they started asking "Which company are you insured with.........?" LOL !

My advise would be to get each company you consider to send you sample policies and read ALL the exclusions.....
boring but worth the trouble in the long run !

Hope this helps.
