What insurers do you all use or who would you recomend?

We have M&S premier for ours. We've claimed once which went smoothly and quickly. Helpline is good too.

We use PetPlan for all ours

Never had a problem claiming - and claimed a good few times between the 6 of them.
They also insure for things like hydrotherapy, accupuncture, physio etc

Also make sure you know what you want - a lot of companies only insure up to a certain amount per condition in a year. PetPlan cover for life - which is why I am with them

I'm with sainsburys, have been for years, paid out very quickly (and I've certainly had my monnies worth out of them!!) they pay vets direct too.

In the past I've been with direct line who also paid out but they only do a 12 month policy (cover a condition for up to 12 months from onset) The sainsburys policy has a £6500 limit per condition no matter how long it takes to reach it. Thank goodness as they are paying out monthly for pain killers for my arthritic dog!

im with halifax..claimed several times and even now i claim for medication every two months ..always paid out quickly..upto £6000 vet fees per condition £60 excess
i pay £18 p/m for my 8 year old whippet
£11 p/m for my 4 year whippet

i cant go anywhere else now as my older dog will have a exsisiting injury
renewal is up nxt month so hopefully wont go up too much!!
