Equine Insurance Solutions - my mum has insured all three of our horses with them, and we've claimed for two of them (first pony skinned her leg on a gate; second had nosebleeds, a torn tendon, then died of colic) and they've been fantastic. Minimal questions and paperwork, easy to deal with, quick payments for claims. My mum spoke to NFU about the latest pony, who wanted to double the price of the premium because of the last horse's colic... AND they wanted full vet statements on new pony, etc etc. Existing insurers just said "ok then"!
Not really heard of them - seem to be underwritten by Alpha Insurance who look to be a Denmark-based company. if they're good, they're good but not heard of them. Are you looking to insure a horse?
They used to be a different name and were more widely known, got taken over a number of years ago but we've always found them good. I can't remember their old name for the life of me though! Alpha are indeed based in Denmark, as I saw on our latest claim form yesterday!
Amtrust Equine - really good, pay out quickly and premium hasn't gone up this year (though I do now have a blanket exclusion for arthritis, but I expected that anyway).
Was with NFU until this years premiums went up by 42% Now with KBIS, I'll know how good they are if I have to make a claim but feedback from other forum members appears to be ok.
