Ok so I now know I need insurance, it's not worth the risk anymore with my lad, but I am a bit clueless about which insurance company to go with. Could anyone tell me what companies they would recommend in terms or paying out etc?

Also I recieved my TB was free so don't know what to value him at?

Any other information would be helpful too.

Thank you.

I was with NFU but their price went sky high this year so I changed to KBIS. Not claimed (touching wood) so I have no idea what they are like but I got good feedback before I decided.

I've heard some awful things about E & L so I avoided them but beware, they have another company (which I can't remember the name of) selling horse insurance. Someone on here mentioned that if you look at the registered address or T & Cs you will see its linked to E & L.

BHS gold membership covers third party liability & some personal accident cover .

Get this and you can opt out of this section with other insurers.

I liked SEIB but you can't pay monthly unless you phone up. They couldn't help me straight away and said someone would phone me back. They left it sooo long (I'm talking days which is no good when your horse was arriving in 3 days time)I ended up going with KBIS instead who were brilliant and it was all sorted out online.
