so who are your horses insured with? Can anyone recommend an insurace company, is there any i need to keep away from?

Thanks in advance!

I insure with NFU. Just claimed for a stitches injury and they paid up no problem. However, I do have an excess payment of £145 per claim which I feel is quite steep. I dont know of other firms nor their excesses but I cant fault NFU with the way they dealt with the claim. They dealt direct with the vets which took the hassle away.

I have insured with them for the past 4.5 yrs and this was my first claim. My monthly payment is approx £50. The diva is insured at a value of £6k.

Mine are with KBIS & they are brilliant highly recommend, they have always paid up straight away no questions asked :)

I would say stay away from E&L they were awful when my mum had her cob with them.

I'm insured with the company I used to work for (had some nice staff discounts applied :) )

There is only one insurer to avoid to be honest and I think you will find plenty of posts about them. They use a few different names though but to give you a steer, most of them begin with 'E'!!

Used nfu but this year too expensive. Now with kbis who give discount for members of riding clubs. Others more expensive or rubbish like E&L who operate under various names
