I am insured with Many Pets and until today was delighted with them. Had one claim in 2020, paid out about £500 no problem. Went up a tiny bit last year as expected. Got this years renewal through and gone from £267.39 to £440.75. That was after no more claims. Dog is 5yrs old. Think I am going to ditch it and just put the money aside. She has had treatment for SLO but it wasn't a huge amount so didn't claim. I don't think ongoing that will require vet treatment or if so not vastly expensive. Guess I am going to jinx myself now. This is the first dog I have insured past puppyhood.

I literally just bought Fodhla insurance from them today as the free insurance she came with from the rescue is due to run out soon.

That's a serious increase, yikes.

I pay a scary amount more than that for an elderly dog and am still quids in against the cost of repeat meds, even with a generous staff discount. There was a period when she was aged 9-10 where I was paying more than I was claiming back and I wibbled about cancelling, but have more than made up the lost ground since.

The soon-to-be four year old has never received treatment for anything and I'd have been better off sticking his premiums in a savings account. It's a gamble!

That’s a big increase. Our cat and dog are with them and it’s gone up £7 a month (20%). But that’s for both of them. I can live with 10% each for how good they are at paying out. This is the third year, first year went up, second year went down and third year gone up again. We also have their money back policy and this is the second year we’re getting some back.

My pup had 4 weeks cover with Petplan from the breeder . They have just quoted for continuing the policy at £57 a month ! To add her as a second dog to my Many Pets policy is £24 a month , guess who I’m going with . I was amazed when the other dogs premium went down at renewal as I’d had a hefty claim in first year ,wouldn’t be surprised if it goes up next time but I’m probably stuck with them as a new insurer would heap on the exclusions.

I have insurance with them which is about £480 on a whippet puppy.

They have paid out approximately £4250 this year though so has been worth it.
