Hi all, I have just been informed that my horse insurance policy with NFU isn't valid because I bred my horse with the intention of selling the foal. They class this as commercial use. It apparently also means that my stable buildings are not covered. I need to add that this is the second foal I have bred in 5 years so not exactly commercial but I do have a FB page using my breed prefix which they have picked up on. Any recommendations for other insurers would be welcome. I have tried Shearwaeter who said they no longer insure horses and KBIS are coming out as very expensive.

Also you could try Equesure who are brokers and will compare companies for you. I used them and they came back with competitive quotes
