Following on from my original thread about my loan horse who was diagnosed with Pedal Osteitis being taken back to be sold by her owner, i paid for the insurance for the horse and obviously have made claims and will be cancelling the insurance as i wont have her anymore, well the owner seems to think whether i like it or not when i cancel my policy she will be able to take it on and the if she needs to make claims for the pedal osteitis she will still be insured. Can she do that as if it is true it seems very unfair as i have paid and then she can reap benefits of insurance when she hasnt paid anything. sorry if i am rambling but feeling really hurt at mo and trying not to get too bitter about it.

I would have thought if you cancel the insurance you could not then transfer it into someone elses name, although i might be wrong I would suggest contacting the insurance company and checking where they would stand on this.
I hope things work out for you read your other post, horrid situation take care

Nope no chance, and even bigger issue is that 99% of cases wont then insure her for that as in their eyes it is a current problem that started before HER insurance!
Ive often heard tho that people have changed ins companies and as its written you can claim upto a year after the injury have done so whilst ins elsewhere.
Personally i dnt see how that can work!
