Hi im a little confused and hope someone on here can help me
confused.gif
I have my horse insured with the NFU and am making a claim, they pay up to £5000 of vets fees and 50% of the livery costs and im just wondering if the livery costs are included in that £5000 limit or will they pay the 50% of the livery on top? My total bill is about £7000, £5000 of that is vets fees and £2000 is the livery, I know ill have to pay at least £1000 but was just wondering if anyone can tell me exactly how it works and how much i will need to find?? Thanks very much in advance

I could be completely wrong but I believe the livery costs are included in the £5000 vets fees figure, like I say though I may be wrong, check through your policy documents, it should state it there.

Yes Im 99% sure the livery charges are included in the £5k too Im affraid. I was in the same position a few years ago when my horse stayed for 2 wks at Leahurst. It soon adds up. Why dont you ring them, they are really helpful and were brilliant when I had 2 massive claims a few years back.
I hope your horse is on the mend
