insuring a 10 yr old JRT

I have just had my renewal quote which is now £18 for £2500 vets fees and the standard cover.

Anyone have any recommendations on good insurance companies for older dogs. I want to ensure i have cover that pays out and isnt just cheap but also dont want to be paying through the nose for insurance either.

I have only claimed once when she was 1 year old as she was stood on by one of the horses and it wasnt a big claim luckily no bones broken just sheared the tissue away from the bone (Owch!)

I suspect you will have trouble finding a company to take on a new policy with a 10 year old, and any that do will no doubt charge a high premium. A lot of insurance companies bump up the excesses with an older dog too.
