intellegent Horsemanship

I haven't but heard lots of good things! I'd be jealous if you did go - I would save some money up but my horses prefer to spend it on vets bills!

hahahaha I seem to spend money on vet bills too!!! My horse has totally bashed my confidence yesterday and my BF wants to send me on the course with him for a birthday present

I've had a lesson from an IH instructor and she opened my eyes to a lot of things I'd never thought about before (and I'm a bit of a cynic about this sort of stuff TBH).

Go for it!! Take horsie, go with an open mind and be prepared to try something new.

Your horse will thank you for it + you'll never be the same rider again.

Well if he is paying - definitely go!!! It might be just the thing to give you your confidence back and inspire you to move forward! & who better to learn from than Kelly Marks!!!

I've done a little natural horsemanship with a girl down here in Devon (& before the cynics start - it is just a tool and I definitely use my horses to ride and not just play silly games) to resolve problems and I have found it very logical - understanding their body language and communicating differently and most importantly without force! Pretty much fixed my loading problem in one session!!

& if you do go - update this thread with a review!!!

I went on the Perfect Manners course a couple of years ago. It was a wonderful weekend. I felt it was pricey when I booked it but, after it was over, it seemed like some of the best money I ever spent.

I don't have my own horse but I was just starting to share a horse at the time, and it gave me lots of confidence and knowledge about handling horses and reading their body language. I still refer back to things from it in my mind.

Kelly Marks was such fun and is a fab teacher, as are all the other staff.

One of my friends has been on a couple of Intelligant Horsemanship courses with Kelly Marks and always comes back absolutely buzzing! If your other half is paying, I would go!

Thanks guys! I will have to give them a call to see if they think they can help us. My horse is just stubborn and when he does not want to do something he will rear lunge forward and try to bronk me off :( Really scared me yesterday when he did this and I almost ended up in a car on the yard :( just hope they can help me sort out his issues

I took my mare to the Leading & Loading 3 day course at Hartsop Farm. It was great, really friendly people and best of all after doing my homework my mare loads now:)

I have done the 5 day foundation course and the Horse psychology course. Really enjoyed both.

I did the 5 day course just before I got my boy on load and it definitely helped me work on his barging issues.

Did you take your horse??? What did you gain from it???? If my BF is going to buy me a course I really want to make sure it is the right one. My horse has behavior issues did you cover this in your lessons???
