I'm going to be changing jobs in a month or so and I've got a month off before I start my new job. I was thinking about going on an intensive course somewhere for a week or two weeks where I could take my pony (working at medium) and ride schoolmasters as well. I was a working pupil at Talland several years ago and am thinking I may go back there (although it would feel a bit weird being all grown up now!) but wondered if any one had any other recommendations? I'm based in Herts, but willing to travel a fair distance and price (within reason) is not the main factor. I was wondering if its worth going to any trainers as such and having lessons and stabling with them, but don't know any that have schoolmasters for me to ride too, and don't want to knacker my pony out too much by more than one lesson a day on him! Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Echo Matt above, been twice for 'intensive' work - brilliant. Actually going to ride the advance horse next week

Arrow Riding School in Herefordshire also has schoolmasters, and Sue does lunge lessons, Alexander Technique, Feldenkris classes, etc. as well.

I would love to spend a month there. I went abroad and put my horse there for a month (it wasn,t horrendously expensive) and he had improved a lot when I got back.

Don't know the website off-hand, but if you put Arrow Riding School or Sue Neville-Parker in Google it should come up.
